Marshfield Lumber and Supply has been serving Webster County and beyond since 1903. It was originally called B B & M Lumber when it was founded. It changed its name to Marshfield Lumber Company when Ralph Gander bought it from B B & M. Jack Freeman bought Marshfield Lumber Company in 1988 from Bob Ankrom and Mrs. Cecile Gander. He was responsible for changing the business’s name to Marshfield Lumber & Supply and moving the lumber yard to its current location at 420 S. Pitts St. in 1990. Marshfield Lumber has always been a family business, especially since Jack Freeman purchased it. Jack’s three sons Jim, Jon, and Joe have all spent time with Marshfield Lumber throughout the years, and Jim and Jon are still with the business.
